THREATENED:
Yellowstone National Parks fauna is going down at an incredible speed. The Grizzly Bear population is being threatened because of logging, mining, oil, and gas drilling. Each spring, the buffalo - also known as bison - are being "hazed" and sometimes slaughtered by government agents as they are looking for a place to get food and have their babies outside of the parks boundaries.
PRESERVED:
Yellowstone National Park is trying to make people recycle their aluminum cans, glass, paper products, and plastic beverage cans by having multiple recycling bins throughout the park. They also replaced over 20,000 light bulbs with florescent ones which reduced their contribution to carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. People who visit can help by respecting the park and try not to damage it. People can also help by not feeding the animals because even though it doesn't seem majorly important, it will get them out of their usual system and foods that they would normally eat and might even not be able to supply themselves even more. They can also not ruin anything, take anything, or throw anything and they can stay on the trails to not ruin fragile soil and vegetation.
